Citrus seared salmon
Serves 4
Tip: This sauce is also tasty on sea scallops. It will keep up to 7 days in the refrigerator.
- Add 4 4-ounce salmon filets.
- Add 1 teaspoon cumin.
- Add 1 teaspoon orange zest.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt.
- Add 1/4 cup orange juice.
- Add 1/4 cup apple juice.
- Add 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard.
- Add 2 teaspoons honey.
- Add 1 teaspoon ground black pepper.
- Add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- Place salmon seasoned side down.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
- Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Set aside and cover.
- Add juice and seasoning mixture to saute pan.
- Add 1 teaspoon cornstarch.
- Cook until mixture thickens.
- Drizzle sauce over salmon.
