  1. Empty stats are all stats of a team that has no possibility to contend. Luca is empty stats, Jokic is empty stats and so many more… Give MVPs and cheer all you want. But those seasons mean nothing at all. Empty stats.

  2. I feel like you were way to harsh on us.

Losing miles completely derailed our season + lamelo getting hurt multiple times, when we actually had a completely healthy team we played fantastic basketball, the stats might not look it, but i enjoyed watching Oubre and Rozier play this year, Oubre honestly felt like he played way more consistent then last year

  3. Devin Booker was 100% empty stats. It means putting up numbers that don't translate to winning. Kevin Love was in the same boat. Its being able to score and do things that look great, but due to a lack of defensive scheme, or lack of ability to play around other greats – you just won't really be a winner. The last few years of Melo on the Knicks come to mind. Its easy to score 20+ if the offense is designed around you, but the ability to convert that to wins is the difference between empty and meaningful.

  4. I think Houston have the issues of a very young team without veteran mentors. Every young player seems to under performance, Jalen, Jabari or even Sengun is very irregular. It doesnt help the role of Kevin Porter, that assume a lot of shots and balls, but it is not a PG that it is going to help his teammates, and every game it seems its very chaotic who is going to take the shots, if Jalen, Kevin, Jabari…

  5. Wiggins was one of them until he got traded to a contender, then his stats became meaningful.

KAT needs to get his mind right and ask for a trade. He needs a new environment. It's time.

  6. Well, the Devin Booker example really isn't "empty stats" so much as "empty callories", aka the "only good player on a bad team puts up big numbers"-phenomenon. When a team sucks, the only good player basically gets to do what he wants and gets to score as much of the team's total points as he wants. The team is tanking anyway, so his efficiency doesn't matter. That does not automatically equate terrible efficiency, aka "empty stats", though.

  7. The Edwards comments on Green are so funny. Yeah he’s gotten better, but Edwards still plays that way and is a negative to his team more often than not considering his usage rate.

  8. DB making all defense second team and AD not making either team should let everyone know the system is f** idc about games played or injuries I really don’t.

  9. Russel Westbrook’s is the hands down king of empty stats. Could put up a Quintuple Double and wouldn’t mean squat cause the other team would be gifting him steals and blocks.

  10. stats on paper dont win games. analytics dont win games either. points per game, assists per game, any other stats per game dont make anyone the greatest ever. clutch moments, intangible benefits cant be quantified. stat lines dont make anyone the best at anything ever
