A Superstar is a player that transcends the game. if you say LeBron, Curry, or KD the average person will know who they are. you say Tatum, Lillard, etc the average person won't know who you're talking about.

Steph
Giannis
Kawhi
Kd*(he’s my only exception bc he technically did it, but we all know there’s context behind that)
If Kyrie is a superstar then so is Tatum. And Tatum is not a superstar.

There’s like 10 superstars in the league with about another 10-12 stars. That being said that’s not that many. There’s around 450 active players in the league I would say dame is in a weird place he’s in between superstar and just a star. His talent is undeniable, it’s his lack of progress and his team underperforming time and time again that’s holding him back. The reason I say kyrie is a superstar is because he’s easily a top 10 elite scorer and offensively skilled player in the league. I can’t put 10 guys above kyrie in the league he’s one of the few players that can go toe to toe with anyone and go neck in neck or out score them all together. He hasn’t missed a step since his rookie year, he’s equally as fast and efficient but more seasoned now. All the leaders come before kyrie so I’ll give y’all that so steph, embiid, jokic, lebron, luka, And Giannis all come before him. But let this sink in, the only difference between kd and kyrie as players is kd has one chip on kyrie. Other than that they’re both highly skilled offensive threats, two great iso scorers who can’t lead a team to greatness. One needed the best player to get a ring the other needed the best team to get a ring. So if kd is a superstar, why isn’t kyrie?

Statistically, Kyrie is not that special on the offensive side either. Zero times scoring leader and he never finished a season with 28 points plus. He is no doubt a superstar but his ability at offensive side is overhyped.
It would've been better for her to say "potential". Dame has potential to be that. I wouldn't consider Dame a superstar. Kyrie may be living off that shot but Dame never was in the position to take that shot. So if I HAD TO PICK between the two I'm taking Kyrie. But idk Ky might be the only player demoted from superstar status 😆
