The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 139-122. The Lakers starting five all scored 20 points apiece, led by D’Angelo Russell (30 points, 5 assists), Austin Reaves (27 points), Rui Hachmura (21 points), LeBron James (21 points, 14 assists), and Anthony Davis (20 points, 6 assists). Zion Williamson (30 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists) and Brandon Ingram (22 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists) led the Pelicans. The Lakers improve to 28-26 as the Pelicans move to 30-22.

With the Lakers having all five starters score 20 or more points tonight, it’s the first time this has been done by any NBA team in over 30 years: January 26, 1993: Orlando vs. Atlanta.

The last time this occurred for the Lakers: November 4, 1984: vs. Portland (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 25, Jamaal Wilkes 22, Magic Johnson 21, James Worthy 21, Byron Scott 20).

  19. 5 Deadly Venoms. I like that starting lineup. All of them can score. Extremely tough to deal with and a nightmare for opposing defenses. Barring injury, this should be the starting lineup for the remainder of the season. No need for the coach to overthink it.

  24. The spread of wealth would not happen with Lebum Jr on the team. Daddy would be feeding him the ball to make Jr relevent. Any hint of passing over a better FG shot so Jr can shoot the ball will quickly destroy any level of team chemistry; provided there will be any (chemistry) when jr comes on board. [ Kobe told Luke Walton he only got in the league because of his daddy.]

  29. If the lakers loose 8 out of next 10 they will be 30-34 exactly where they were last season , they ended up being 7th seed and reached WCF and people are saying they don"t have a chance to make playoffs this year . THEY GONNA GET ON A HEATER LIKE LAST YEAR .
