Kyrie Irving is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is an eight-time All-Star, a three-time All-NBA Team member, and an NBA champion with the Cavaliers in 2016. He is widely considered one of the best ball handlers of all time and was named the Rookie of the Year after being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. He also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the 2014 All-Star Game. He has also played for the United States national team, with which he won gold at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics.
