  1. I agree with Jon's perspective on censorship, but he's kind of resting on a naive assumption that the corporate cancel of Kyrie was supposed to be a solution, when it was really shit a shit-scared cover-our-own-butts move. No one who made or supported that decision cares about antisemitism or anyone who promotes or it anyone who bears the consequences of it. Censorship is a purely reptilian brain move.

  2. Jon, you definitely believe that censorship and penalty are the correct responses to overt racism against black people. why are jews the only people not entitled to protection?

  3. Blueberry bagels are not an aberration. They are the only bagel that isn't too dry to eat without toppings. That that is a situation that is common enough to plan for is a crying shame, but here we are.

  4. I agree we need to have more conversations. But when it's a public figure, should we not still make it clear that hating or spreading conspiracies about an entire people group is wrong? That sounds like it could be a world where espousing such worldviews is tolerated. Which sounds more like the 1950s

Both the idea of not having any conversations/shutting things down and the idea of relying on conversations alone seems like they would have long-term negative effects

I'm all for increased empathy. What's interesting to do in a disagreement is to try to trace back your difference in understanding to the earliest split in worldview/experience. But a lot of people don't do that. And sometimes when people argue, they don't realise how much they actually agree on.
We do have a problem with patience generally in our society. So do I lol

But also I don't want the next generation growing up in a world where people can say the wildest stuff for millions of people to hear/read, and nothing is done except talking

  5. A year later, and Chappelle, Kyrie, and Kanye were correct. The bіg-ոоsеԁ bankers continue to fund a literal genocide in Palestine, while silencing, smearing, and getting people fired for criticizing their repulsive ideology. Yet, they claim they do not control the media and will fire you if you disagree. These people are starting wars… I mean ethnic cleansing, and the rest of the country simply keep quiet because they'll get fired if they say anything…

  6. I don't really agree or see those things as "penalties"

if I had a racist friend, maybe I simply don't want to associate with them anymore, it's not a penalty toward them, it's just my own preference

same thing for celebrities, if they exhibit overtly racist behaviours, why would a brand want to associate with them especially when companies' only goal is profit. last time i checked people are very into boycotting, if I had a company, or a team, or whatever, and someone there was publicly racist, why would I want to lose money because of them?

  7. Just rewatching this, it hit me that despite this being watched by Millions, Jon's priority is still to check in with his friend; "I know you disagree with me on this". That's really grounded, and authentic, and just makes me love both of them all the more.

  8. This was not even about what the documentary was about controlling the world 😂 but about the Israelis having no historical connection to that land and that blacks are the biblical Israelites.

  9. Okay, so this has always been a complicated subject: "The Jews" don't control the international banking system, BUT the most wealthy and influential family in the international banking system is…jewish….so like…while i'm objective enough to recognize that as more or less coincedental, it kinda plays into their argument, doesn't it?

  10. I so enjoyed this!! Thrilled I stumbled on this. Joan made me cry at the end….. Lily, Whoopi, Rita, Betty are inspirational staples of my childhood and growing up years! Solid in my heart and funny bone❣️
