Honestly I've had more fun putting in the top 30 teams of all time and simulating a couple years with the salary cap turned off. Then i sim through one game in the playoffs and choose 4 teams after seeing who's on what team now.
Had one where Klay, Curry, and Durant (from 2012 OKC) all ended up in the Nuggets with Jokic. Unreal.
