Let’s talk about how to do intermittent fasting to lose weight. Intermittent fasting will save you time and money, and it has a lot of health benefits, including weight loss.

Intermittent fasting isn’t a diet—it’s a pattern of eating and not eating. When you eat, you trigger insulin. The less you eat, the less insulin you’ll trigger, and the more benefits you’re going to have.

To make the transition into intermittent fasting easier, try doing it in stages. Gradually move to the next stage of intermittent fasting only when you feel your body has fully adjusted to the stage you’re in.

Here’s how to start intermittent fasting.

Stage one:
Consume three meals a day without snacks.

Stage two:
Skip breakfast. Try to have your first meal at 12 pm and your last meal at 6 pm. Ideally, you wouldn’t have any snacks. But, if you had to, you would want to snack during your eating window (12 pm to 6 pm).

Stage three:
Start having your two meals closer together, so you have a four-hour eating window instead of a six-hour eating window. Have your first meal at 2 pm and your last meal at 6 pm.

Stage four:
Start having one large nutrient-dense meal a day, and try to have it by 3 pm. This will give you 23 hours of fasting.

Stage five:
Start adding periodic prolonged fasting. Once a week or once every two weeks, try a 48 to 72-hour fast. You could even try a 120-hour fast, which can produce incredible health and weight loss benefits.

  1. So if 2400 calories is my target, how many should I hit on the omad? I've been eating till uncomfortably full. And am getting to 1800ish. Will body go into starvation mode if I keep doing this?

  2. Hello, I am very thin; my last blood test showed very high cholesterol and enzyme AST/SGOT double than normal. Before that, I had done the Keto diet. Now I don't know what to do, and why did it have the opposite effect on me? Also, I lose more and more weight..

I followed a diet where I just consumed moringa powder with one glass of water in morning, beetroot powder with water in the afternoon and at night during intermiting fasting I had a cup of tea with (fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds) befire bed for straight 7 days and the result were insane-
    1) My skin became so bright
    2) got rid of bloating and inflammation
    3) lost 2 kgs
    4) energy level were on the Mount Everest(feeling so energized) no fatigue
    5) satisfaction because I made it

    So I'll be doing this every month for a week become this is like a rare diamond for health Other days I'll be doing one meal a day as before

  4. just a few weeks ago i'd eat even when i wasnt hungry, and a lot as well. then one of my friends dragged me to the gym, (something i also need to be doing more of) but ever since then, i havent been eating nearly as much. id use to eat probably 7 times a day on the worse end, and 5 times on the better end. but now, without really knowing how fasting works, ive naturally gotten to the 18 hours 20 hours fasting point just based on when im hungry. so thanks to this video, i now know what i need to do to get to that final point nd really try to lose this fat ive had for almost all my life (with maybe so gym trips, but i REALLY hate the gym)

  5. Is it okay to workout early morning around 6 am empty stomach and eat nothing and continue your fast till noon and have your 1st meal around 1 pm or 2 pm following a 18: 6 window.
