Corporate giants from Amazon to CVS are investing billions into primary-care practices. It’s part of a sweeping shift in U.S. healthcare to a more value-based model. Here’s what that means for doctors, patients and health insurers.

  1. Healthcare services like blood samples and images are very affordable. Health is always, always a personal responsibility. These deplorables have no say in health matters.

  2. These companies are just trying to make more money. It has nothing at all to do with value based care. I see many (poor) offers from these companies, and I do not intend to work for them as a primary care physician.

  3. How about make a universal basic healthcare services and cost . I.e a floor with the minimum needed to have a decent healthcare system with fixed and transparent prices across the USA as opposed to having contracted, non transparent conditional, adaptive pricing which is negotiated between all businesses including the hospitals via their chargemasters…

  4. Good luck getting good care from qualified physicians after turning over your care to companies who’s primary goal is to turn a profit. Get ready to see mid level providers like nurse practitioners and physician assistants with only a fraction of training as a real physician making medical decisions to help the company cut costs and save money. Then when something goes wrong, they tell you to go to the ER to see a real physician.

  5. Amazon?..I don't know if I like Amazon being too many things..the reason being is that:Amazon hires people at its facilities in waves for say..15dollars per hour..then Amazon lays that whole wave off before they get raises..and is always building hubs,so they can lay-off at this hub and hire at this hub and keep the rate of pay at 15dollars..Amazon is sly,so would you want to work under them anywhere else?..Amazon laying off and hiring at the same time is the biggest "flim-flam" ever!

  6. I watch several YouTube videos on how to trade in the stock market but haven't made any head start because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands

  7. cvs healthcare calls people repeatedly from numerous numbers and harasses them with continuous calls and refuses to remove their number. They eventually bombard the individual with calls every 5 to 15 minutes 24/7 and harass them to the point of causing them to have a nervous breakdown. If you send the email to request they stop calling the number, they still continue to call. I am calling to get a lawyer that can sue them tomorrow. I wil have nothing to do with cvs stores or healthcare for the rest of my life. They are despicable, evil jerks!

  8. It's always about profit! Everything shouldn't always be about the almighty dollar! How about value of human beings lives for a change? Healthcare should be a sacred space and not exploited by capitalism and greed!!
