Years ago now, World of Warcraft had an event that changed the landscape of the ENTIRE game for the players. Hundreds of thousands of skeletons littered the cities, all player characters who had perished to what was called the “corrupted blood plague”. Now, some experts are saying that they could have used this event to better understand how viral pandemics spread in societies and how individuals react. What I want to know is, could this historic WoW moment have helped prevent the spread of our current pandemic? Let’s find out!

9:20 Wow. Hearing that, even in games, there is still people trying to help others is one of the best things I have heard in a while. That’s awesome. Maybe humanity isn’t doomed… yet
not ture staying home and waring a mask ruins your amune system
Crazy to think this happened almost 3 years ago. It feels like it happened less than a year ago.

The reason why I'm here after a couple of years passed is because of LEEEEROY JENKINS
A year before corrupted blood, there was a pandemic of a different coronavirus…..
when i got covid i didn't know for three days i had the slightest bit of a stuffy nose but nothing else. earlier on the day i finally got tested i went to knotts berry farm with some friends and i even shared an icecream cone with one of my friends and she didn't get covid. i was basically asymptomatic but covid really messed with my immune system and i constantly got sick until the beginning of this year when my immune system finally healed itself
I used to play WoW when I was about 7-8 only because my parents were pretty big gamers, but I remember watching something like this way back. And considering how this took place before I could remember, that’s kind of concerning 😅
Missed opportunity to say rat pat unlocked(I never even liked)

Matt pat you need to edit your information at the beginning it didn’t age well.
3:56 I hate animal crossing, I did every challenge run of Skyrim and kingdom hearts, as well as getting the platinum trophies, as wall as the one for oblivion on the ps3.
and just like in real life, some1 had to go out of their way, to transport the virus from the raid out into the rest of the world. hilarious
Can't believe it's been 4 years already
I remember the corrupted blood incident. I remember logging in and there were skeletons EVERYWHERE. IT WAS AMAZING LOL
how has 2020 been 4 years ago already?
This content is absolutely fantastic. I had the pleasure of reading something similar, and it blew me away. "Game Theory and the Pursuit of Algorithmic Fairness" by Jack Frostwell
my teacher told me he was involved in this [he was one of trolls though]
I wonder if the producer kicked himself during covid for not giving up that data🤔
