Celebrities Predict The Jake Paul VS Tyron Woodley Fight

AUgust 29th, 2021 is approaching at what seems to be an increasingly fast rate, and we can’t contain our excitement! The time has almost come for YouTuber-turned boxer Jake “The Problem Child” Paul, to fight former UFC welterweight champion Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley. These two fighting one another seemed like an incredibly unlikely occurrence just two years ago, but over the course of Jake Paul’s so-far very short professional boxing career, the stars have aligned to bring the two fighters into the ring together.

One of the reasons we’re surprised to see these two fighting at all is because of their significantly different professional records. Jake Paul has certainly eased his way into the world of boxing, specifically choosing to fight underwhelming opponents in the hopes of beefing up his win to loss ratio early. Jake’s first professional fight was with AnEsonGib, who was another YouTuber, not a boxer. His next fight was against Nate Robinson, who is a retired NBA player, not a boxer. After that he went up against an MMA fighter at least, Ben Askren, though at the time of the fight – Ben Askren was already retired.

At the fight between Jake Paul and Ben Askren, Jake Paul ran into Tyron Woodley, and they got in a bit of an altercation. That’s one of the main events that led us to these two facing off in the first place, regardless of skill. Jake should have done his research though, because Tyron Woodley is going to be the first currently active fighter he’s faced off against, and Tyron’s record is pretty impressive.

Over the course of Woodley’s professional career, he only has one draw, accompanied by seven losses, which look just fine sitting next to his twenty-one wins. Tyron Woodley was also the UFC Welterweight champion at one point as you know, retaining that title four different times over the course of three years.

Jake’s older brother, Logan Paul, has said that he admires Jake’s approach to boxing, though, and that taking it step by step is a good idea. He pointed out that Jake is essentially giving himself his own challenge ladder of fighters at various skill levels to climb, which could definitely gradually make Jake better. At the same time Jake is on the rise, Woodley is on a bit of a decline, which also explains how we ended up at this fight.

Tyron Woodley’s impressive stats of the past aside, he hasn’t won a single time in the last four fights he’s been a part of. He seems to be out of his groove when it comes to MMA as a whole, but seems to be pretty confident he’s going to have boxing specifically in the bag. Especially considering he’s being trained by Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his entourage.

Oddly enough though, Jake Paul has mentioned in an interview that he thinks Tyron Woodley training with Floyd Mayweather is a bad idea, and will give him a disadvantage. Why being taught by one of the best to ever do it would be seen as a bad thing we have no idea, but Jake did have a couple points to back himself up.

  1. Jake spars/trains yet hasn’t had a legit pro fight to date so we have no way to gauge his talent. Woodley’s a world champ yet never been n a ring where he can only use hands. Nobody on earth is capable of predicting this fight

  2. I say out of seeing both of them do fights I say tyron would win but I still think jake has a chance but I hate that he wants to fight mcgregor cause I'm Irish and he dosent need to hate on us Irish for no reason some of us don't like mcgregor and I do but y hate on us

  3. Floyd also teaching him how to dodge and move good, that’s why Floyd is 50-0, he teaching woodly how to get jake to tire himself out to win that shit, cuz that’s when we gonna start throwin

  4. Why won’t jake just really be a boxer like fight some real boxers stack yo resume and build some real experience he not really tryna be a boxer FR 🤦🏿😂

  5. Woodley hasn't won a fight the last 3 fights he had. That's something he supposed to he good at and he going to go to boxing ? Which he he really don't have training in ? WORDS from Dana white I believe that Jake Paul will win this fight 👌

  6. hahahaha he make list with the best fighter and he think can beat all that profi boxer lol hello kid go play playstation or go on youtube and make video u are bigger trash talker from mcgregor

  7. Why dosnt jake just become a professional fighter?

I think he is a good premoter but not a good fighter.
Maybe he is just using these fights to start up his own boxing premotion he probly be realy good at tht.sounds like he cares about fighter pay and he defnatly is learning about premoting fights.

  8. jake needs to fix every fight, that's how it goes. if he loses investors would back out. so he targets every old fighters to give them a good pay day… still props to jake but still he's a fixer😂
