The way Pau toughened up after getting bullied in the Finals loss was so dope to see. Took that soft reputation which was his 1 flaw and turned it to a strength and the next time we played the Celtics he was a dog in the paint. So skilled, so underrated. Not many players could handle playing with Kobe. Gasol had the perfect skill set to step up when needed but not clash with Kobes ball dominance. Pick and pop middy with the face up game, could roll to the rim & finish & had that high/mid post passing. Didnt cry when he didnt get touches consistently & didnt need them to stay focused in other area on the floor. One of my 5 favorite players ever easily.

What a great supporting cast Kupchak(student of Jerry West) surrounded Pau & Kobe with. I was sad to see Ariza go but damn, Ron Artest! He instantly brought tough defense to every squad he played on. I could talk about the entire roster of 2008-2009 & '09-2010 but I'll end with the human swiss army knife, Lamar motherfuckin Odom. He'll D you up w his length, grab the rebound, take point running the break, no look to the streaking wing for a lay up, or if you don't close on him he's taking it to the hole. So good.

Does anyone else agree with Derek Fisher having his jersey retired? I mean he's been there with the franchise and has contributed way more to the franchise than what Pau did and not to take anything away from Pau either but I think he is way under appreciated.
Thank You Pau Gasol for the memories and those 2 Championships. Us Kobe fans are forever greatful for saving Kobe's legacy. If you didn't arrive in 2008, I don't know if Kobe will ever win 2 more titles.
The way Lakers treated Pau gasol after his prime was horrible. Kept trying to trade him like he is washed. threw him in every trade possible. There was no respect.
